(c) Resident Evil 8: Village
I have been playing video games since 2003, and have yet to play a Resident Evil installment. I must confess, I have always wanted to play this series but I'm uncertain about the whole jump scare concept.
For those that follow me on #twitter, they know I'm planning a special article about "Black" Sam Bellamy- whom I would call the "King of the Pirates". That article is coming, but I believe it deserves some extra care before I publish it. So, right now I'm writing another short blog post about video games.
Within the last few weeks (at the time of writing this article), the eighth main installment of the Resident Evil video game franchise was released. Needless to say, a lot of people are playing this game. So, why haven't I played this series?

Well, I always felt I would be extremely anxious playing a horror video game. However, over the last few months I have become fascinated by the horror genre. Back in 2004, Resident Evil 4 was released for the first time and people loved it.
My friend would constantly talk about the PlayStation 2 version, so I wanted to play it on my Nintendo GameCube. Of course, I never did.
Following the release of Village, I've decided I might buy a Resident Evil collection for my Nintendo Switch. Since I have the Switch Lite, it will always be a handheld experience- which I would prefer, anyway.
Admittedly, I play my Nintendo Switch more than any other console. With that in mind, there's a chance I will finally play #ResidentEvil for the first time in the near future.
What are your thoughts on the series?
Thank you, and stay safe
