Where did that car go? #ghoststories and #phantomcars

It's 9:20 p.m. right now and all I can think about is the ghost stories my friend's mother told me, back when I was in high school.

In order to protect her identity, of course I won't be doing any name-dropping.

When I was in high school (before I ever did a folklore minor at university), my friend's mom told me of her personal ghost stories.

We grew up in a small community, so most people knew each other, and knew the community inside and out.

In terms of what my friend's mom told me, she claims a ghost car has been following her for decades.

According to her, there have been times she's been driving around town and an "old black car" would appear, and continue to follow her.

After some time, the car would disappear- but there's a twist. My friend's mom claims there would be no exit for the car to take, so it's very much impossible for the car to disappear the way it does.

Can this be explained by a driver's vision being obstructed by light or darkness?
